ColdMUD
Influenced by LambdaMOO, LPMud, and CoolMUD, both by their object-oriented design, and languages, ColdMUD was an original codebase that developed its own original language, originally termed (humorously) as C-- (which was then later forked as the non-MUD language ColdC).
ColdMUD enjoyed some popularity for a short period, and despite a considerable amount of development, being relatively stable, and able to be compiled on a variety of operating systems, the codebase never quite reached critical mass.
